Delete Your Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Deutschtec account and the data associated with it. Deutschtec (the Deutschtec app and app.deutschtec.ai) is operated by Deutschtec GmbH. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
1. Delete your account in the app (fastest)
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from inside the app:
- Sign in to the Deutschtec app or app.deutschtec.ai.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account, then tap again to confirm.
Your account, your data, and your sign-in identity are deleted immediately. If you signed in with a recently restored session, the app may ask you to sign in again first — this is a security check to confirm it is really you.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you can no longer access the app (for example, you uninstalled it or lost access to your device), email us at info@deutschtec.ai with the subject “Account deletion request” from the email address your account is registered under. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before deleting it. We process deletion requests within 30 days, and normally much faster.
3. What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your profile and sign-in identity (including Google/Apple-linked sign-in for this account),
- your chats, projects, uploads, and generated media,
- your saved memories, preferences, and settings,
- your remaining credit balance (which is forfeited and not refunded, except where required by law), and
- connections to any third-party services you linked.
4. What may be retained, and for how long
We keep only what the law requires us to keep: records of payments and invoices are retained for the statutory commercial and tax retention periods under German law (up to 10 years), and we may retain minimal records needed to handle an ongoing legal claim. These records are kept isolated, are not used for any other purpose, and are deleted when the retention period ends. Routine server backups are rotated and expire automatically.
